Awards," is signed by him and by artist Ron Lewis who has numbered the piece 1125/2500. Lewis presents three different artistic views of Joe Montana as the subject. Ron Lewis is one of this nation's most renowned sports artists best known for his spectacular painting of the 500 Home Run Club. Montana's composure resulted in more than 30 fourth quarter comebacks during his 15 seasons played, giving him the nickname, "Joe Cool." Joe led his team to victory in each of his four Super Bowl appearances and he was the only player named Super Bowl MVP three times. Signed in blue sharpie pen. Joseph Clifford "Joe" Montana, Jr., nicknamed Joe Cool, Golden Joe, the Golden Great and Comeback Joe, is a retired professional football player, a hall of fame quarterback with the San Franciso 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. After winning a college national championship and Notre Dame, Montana started his NFL career in 1979 with San Francisco, where he played for the next 14 seasons. Traded before the 1993 season, he spent his final two years in the league with Kansas City. While a member of the 49ers, Montana started in four Super Bowl games and won all of them. Montana was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000, his first year of eligibility.
