Richard Chorley/Golf Art

“Richard Chorley’s magnificent paintings bring back wonderful memories of my games at the great courses of the world. His artistic genius has allowed me to replay my hole-in-one at Lahinch over and over again.”

— Gordon S. White, Jr.
Retired golf writer
New York Times

England's Richard Chorley is one of golf's most gifted and heralded new artists. His disciplined use of the realistic method invites each viewer into his landscapes as if they were already there. The classic courses of the world come alive through Richard's meticulous attention to detail. No nuance of nature escapes his reflective observations. Chorley is the rare artist who paints what the golfer sees.

Richard's life long love of art, painting and nature has blended well with his engineering skills to create lasting images of brilliance, accuracy and beauty. His paintings infuse life and interest into blank walls whether in a living room or a board room. Richard's integrity, honesty, humility and hardworking habits continue to bring him commissions from all over the world. His work is even admired and collected by other golf artists.

Richard Chorley won the Best of Show Award at the inaugural Art of Golf Festival sponsored by Golf Digest.

Mr. Chorley was chosen to be the "Official Artist" of Jack Nicklaus' Memorial Tournament and was chosen in 2004 as the "Official Artist" of the P.G.A. Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills.

Richard Chorley lives north of London with his wife Pauline and family. He is represented in the United States and North America by Tom Stewart's Old Sport and Gallery in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Richard has created landscapes of some of the finest golf courses in Scotland, Ireland and the United States. We are proud to offer these wonderful works of art in three distinct collections from each of these countries.
